It became Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust on 1 October 2015, Torbay Hospital dates back to 1928, when it was built on the edge of Torbay, known previously as South Devon Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
Trust provides health and social care services to the people in their own homes or in their local community. Trust also run Torbay Hospital (providing acute hospital services) as well as five community hospitals, stretching from Dawlish to Brixham.
Trust employs over 6,500 staffs and supports around 500,000 face-to-face contacts with patients in their homes and communities each year and see over 78,000 people in the A&E department annually.
Responsibilities:
Maintain medical records
Assess patient health problems and needs
Develop and implement nursing care plans
Advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention
Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions
Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients
Direct or supervise less experienced nursing or healthcare personnel or supervise a particular unit.
Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans
